UFA, 10 March 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Galiya Nabieva/.
Liliya Gumerova, the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee for Science, Education and Culture believes that the Decree of the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov on additional measures to improve the demographic situation will undoubtedly be another step towards strengthening the institution of the Russian family, raising the birth rate and supporting young parents.
"The measure is certainly significant, and it will definitely stimulate an increase in the birth rate. And the sum of 300 thousand rubles is a considerable amount. Besides, the Decree aims at supporting the families of Bashkortostan, improving their housing conditions – that is social and very important goal. Today there is such a thing as "deferred parenthood" when often young families prefer first to make a career, build a house before giving birth to a child. I am sure that this decision of the Head of the Republic will allow changing this situation in a good way and will become an incentive for young people", the Senator said.
Liliya Gumerova also noted that the Federation Council highly appreciated this decision of the Head of Bashkortostan.
"It is great when the region finds opportunities to support young families. The decline in the birth rate is now observed in many regions of Russia. And my colleagues-senators very approvingly marked the initiative of the Head of Bashkortostan to introduce additional measures of social support", the parliamentarian stressed.
